I love tag clouds and use them in my high school classroom all of the time.

I'd love to find a way to have students text in words and have them appear in a tag cloud in real time. Still looking for that functionality. I've got kids texting in using www.wiffiti.com.

I recently blogged about the experience here

I blogged about Wordles last week. Next semester I am going to try them out in my Comp I class to see what they can do with them. This step by step assignment will be helpful.

I used Wordle in my professional development course for freshmen this semester to look at their before and after versions of their resumes. It's very easy to see what needs to be changed in your resume when you see "high school" and "AP" as the largest words on the Wordle in the before version. Students really seemed to enjoy the process.
